A Well-Watered Garden

Saturday was a drizzly, cool day.  It's July, folks!  I say that more for my benefit than yours.  Some of you are sweltering in triple digit heat and would be glad for some cool, moist weather, right?  We, however, have waited 9 months for our normal sunny, dry summer.  It ain't happenin'!
The Lord of the heavens and earth has seen fit to provide more moisture.  So I determined to remember the beauty of my garden, sun or not.  Sun was not in the Lord's plans on Sunday either.  It poured all day!
He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11

I added this one to remind me that the Lord has given us several sunny days this summer.
He is still on the throne and my hope comes from Him, not the weather.
Have a wonderful week!
Love,

The photos are lovely!! The heat here is horrible and all of our grass is brown. We really need rain.

Happy WFW!

I live in the PNW too and am really losing my patience with this weather we have been experiencing. Maybe August will be drier, we can only hope.

I have a question for you about Hollyhocks. I cannot seem to grow them without them getting rust. Do you have a trick or secret you use to keep the rust away?

What beautiful flowers. They'd make anyone feel better. I'm sorry for your cool, damp weather. Hard to imagine that from my neck of the woods. Hope you get some sunshine soon!

What a blessing to be surrounded by such beauty and to get a bit of cleansing rain. We don't see much rain in my corner of the world, and the only things blooming are the big bougainvillea trees and the odd wildflower. We've had dust high in the sky which keeps the heat at bay. A friend told me last nite that the dust is a blessing from God, otherwise we would be baking (temps are still in the triple digits every day). Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

My Hope does come from the Lord... but these unusual weather reports around the country teach me to trust in that.

whenever life is not the nom, i tis like a billboard from God saying," see I am in control"

Your flowers are so beautiful. I miss my Nebraska garden.. North Texas is not really a garden spot. even our grass is dormant in this heat!

Morning Karen,
this is my first visit with you, and It was delightful. What a lovely blog you have here. Your floral pics were just wonderful, and loved the scripture you picked to go with it as well.

Blessings for a great week ahead,
and maybe a lil sunshine.....
Another sister in Christ,
Nellie

Lovely photos of your flowers. Holy mackerel, you have a huge variety, too! Hotter than blue blazes here in Massachusetts and the humidity is enough to make you keel over. Whew! Susan

This really has been a strange... summer? I live in central Oregon and even though we haven't had much in the way of rain, it's been cool and overcast most days! Stange indeed.

Blessings, Debbie
