You will be with child and give birth to a son,
and you are to give him the name Jesus.
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.

The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son,
and they will call him Immanuel.-which means,
"God with us."

Hi Karen! Thank you for stopping by my blog. It took me a while to learn the difference because I have such low self-esteem anyway, anytime the preacher was speaking on anything in general and it "happen to step on my toes" I automatically thought he was criticizing me. Thank goodness, I matured and God showed me the difference. I keep the verse where Jesus says "I come not to condemn the world..... Also, I remember it because to condemn is to "tear down" and God wouldn't do that, to convict is to help build us up and get ready for "judgment". That's the way I remember the distinction. Strange, I know. God Bless!
